First of all, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported Harriot and embraced its vision. Over the years, Harriot has grown into a name that proudly represents Korean watchmaking, and I owe this to all of you who believed in our philosophy and stood by us. Your understanding, encouragement, and honest feedback have shaped the journey of this brand from the very beginning. I know that not all our early models met your expectations, and I fully acknowledge the areas where Harriot fell short. I’ve taken every criticism to heart, and I’ve continuously challenged myself to improve and refine our craft. However, four years ago, we encountered an unimaginable setback when the watch factory owner who had initially backed Harriot passed away suddenly from cancer. His loss left a void not only in our production line but in our sense of direction. For a long time, I struggled with doubts about whether I should carry on. There were days when Harriot’s website and Instagram lay dormant, and I wondered if our efforts still mattered. In the midst of this uncertainty, it was your unwavering support that gave me the courage to move forward. Even when there were no updates or new releases, many of you reached out with kind words, asked about our future, and even made “encouragement purchases” without any active promotions. Your faith in Harriot reminded me why I began this brand in the first place. That conviction led me to start working on a new watch—our first new release in four years. The pressure, I’ll admit, was immense. After such a long pause, I wanted to create something truly meaningful—something more than just a watch. I wanted a piece that would carry a story reflective of Harriot’s identity and pay tribute to everything Korea represents to our customers. Over these years, countless people have told me they wear our watches because it helps them feel closer to Korea—its culture, its spirit, its homeland beauty. It’s not simply about telling the time; it’s about feeling a connection every time they glance at their wrist. Recently, when I was still searching for the right way forward, a remarkable individual—someone with an even deeper knowledge and appreciation for Korean watchmaking than myself—offered to help Harriot produce our next timepiece. This unexpected collaboration was like a lifesaver. Thanks to this partnership, I’ve been able to bring to life the watch I’ve long dreamed of creating. The new design captures the essence of Korea with a refined aesthetic and a distinctly “Harriot” twist. We’ve completed the sample production, and if everything goes as planned, we’ll begin full production by the end of this month. Our goal is to launch this new watch in the first half of next year. Once we confirm the production schedule, we will offer a sneak peek and begin collecting contact information from those interested in reserving one. My aim is to ensure that Harriot lives up to its reputation as a leading Korean watch brand—one that you can feel proud to wear. I’m doing everything I can to meet your expectations, and I sincerely hope you’ll share in the excitement of this next chapter. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for staying by our side. Warm regards,Hong Sungjo Founder & Representative of Harriot
